Professional Experience: 

Mr. Michaels has over 43 years of experience in land development activities in Florida. This includes the design, surveying, permitting and construction administration of a multitude of land development activities throughout the West Coast of Florida.  His experience includes the design of roadways, drainage facilities, sanitary sewers and water mains, environmental permitting, the preparation of impact studies, rezoning, land use amendments, drainage studies, feasibility studies, and the myriad of surveying services.

Mr. Michaels has been recognized for resolving complex issues relating to drainage, hydrology, surface water management and permitting, storm water treatment, environmental permitting, risk management, the legal aspects of land surveying, and growth management regulation in Florida.

Mr. Michaels also serves as an expert witness on projects involving eminent domain condemnations and has participated in the determination of highest and best use potentials and cost-to-cure analysis for right-of-way takings throughout Florida. He has been pre-qualified as an expert in both engineering and surveying applications in multiple court jurisdictions throughout the State. He interacts very closely with attorneys, accountants, architects, appraisers, soils engineers, botanists, and other professionals in performing feasibility studies for development projects, and his advice regarding land purchases and boundary disputes has been sought by many development concerns.  He served as the District Engineer for a 5000-acre development in Pasco County and as the Lead Planner/Engineer for Section 6 of the Suncoast Parkway in Hernando County, Florida.  In addition, he has been involved with the design and permitting of golf course projects throughout the eastern United States and Southeast Asia.
